A translucent glass bridge connects this corten steel and glass addition to a midcentury modern home designed by Ernest Born. Delicately positioned among existing trees, the addition, though physically simple, is phenomenally complex. A private cypress grove in the rear yard and the Pacific Ocean in the front are experientially connected through a strategic layering of space, reflection, acoustics, and nature.
