Alonzo King LINES Ballet

This collaboration with the internationally celebrated Alonzo King LINES Ballet expands their community programming into a new home at the Fort Mason Center for the Arts. Constructed in 1915 as a storehouse by the US Military, the existing structure boasts soaring ceilings with exposed concrete rafters on slender columns. New interventions in Douglas fir slip sinuously past columns and corbels to sponsor a retractable mirrored wall and establish a flexible arrangement of studio spaces for classes, performances, and events.
