In Situ Bar Tables
Designed for the casual dining area of In Situ, an exhibition restaurant at the SFMoMA, these bar height tables were cut by chain saw to give dynamic topography to the bottoms of the tables, evoking an inverted mountain range. A dispersion of thin steel legs visually offsets the heavy slabs of wood and helps them float in the space.
