Terrace House

This dramatic remodel of a non-descript 1950s hillside residence converts a two-story structure into a three-story home for a growing family. The front and rear facades employ a crystalline steel-and-glass brise-soleil to deflect light and frame cherished views. Flanking the metal brise-soleils are plaster anchor walls, which create visual and psychological privacy from adjoining homes.
