Chronicle Books

This bookstore is the downtown San Francisco showcase for Chronicle Books, the City’s largest independent publishing house. The architectural design creates a cleanly organized armature with a dark material palette, allowing the colorful books on display to be the prominent visual feature of the space. Subtly sculpted floor and ceiling planes delineate zones for prominent display, browsing, and relaxed reading.
